I'd like to take this opportunity to celebrate our partnerships with our wonderful local employers!
In November last year Focus SB was presented with the Kings Award for Enterprise from the Princess Royal. She visited the manufacturing company and met each and every staff member. Four Work Trainees are employed at Focus SB and we have been working with this Employer for over 6 years.
I was fortunate enough to also attend and meet the Princess Royal. She asked about Little Gate and the work that we do including how we deliver the job coach support.
The Princess Royal also met and chatted with 3 of our supporting job coaches. Such a fantastic celebration where our work trainees were included alongside their other colleagues.
The Little Gate Flower Group made a dried flower wreath which The Princess Royal was presented with in front of all the staff. Focus SB is an incredible Employer offering paid opportunities and work experience. They also took part in our Supported Internship Pilot.
Their own staff have volunteered at our Summer Fair and share information about the Little Gate story to other Employers. Focus SB are a leading example of an inclusive Employer within East Sussex and now they have the highest Royal Approval.
Little Gate works with many Employers to create work experience opportunities, apprenticeships and paid roles. All of these experiences are valuable and support to deliver our mission of paid employment.
Please get in contact with our Employer Engagement Team on our main number if you wish to be an Employer Partner or know of an Employer interested in working with us. We do provide Employer Training to support the process.
A wonderful ambassador for Little Gate; Councillor Vicky Cook; visited the work training centre; at the farm; to present the Charity with a cheque.
Clir Cook is the current Leader of Rother District Council and the staff had raised money from a cake sale during their recent staff training day.
The sun shone for the visit and Clir Cook had a tour of the farm to meet work trainees and staff. They all shared the knowledge of the tasks they were completing and about the paid roles they worked within as well as those who have aspirations for paid work.
It is an honour to provide tours to visitors as they get to see first hand the dedication of our passionate staff and the determination of the work trainees.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who has contributed to our success, whether through donations, volunteer work, or simply spreading the word about our mission. Your support fuels our passion and commitment to creating a more inclusive and supportive community for all.
