As you may be aware, I am stepping down as CEO at Little Gate Farm in the New Year, and Friday of last week Trustees took the popular decision to appoint Andrea Randall-Smith as new CEO of Little Gate.
I set up Little Gate Farm in 2013 with the desire to create a meaningful program and route into paid employment for learning disabled adults. It has been a great privilege and honour to create an organisation that has brought that vision to life. Little Gate has worked hard to change the culture and aspirations for adults and young people in East Sussex with learning disabilities and autism and I am extremely proud to have been part of that journey, I am delighted Trustees took the decision to appoint Andrea, she has been part of the Little Gate team for 4 years, she is a passionate advocate for the work trainees we serve and she will lead the team to make the service even better in the future.
I will still be involved in the valuable work of the organisation by moving onto the trustee board so I can continue to support Andrea and her team. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for the support you have given me and Little Gate over the last 6 years, and I hope you will continue to support Andrea with the same enthusiasm, kindness and support over the coming years.
We will miss Claire dearly, but we are all looking forward to seeing Andrea flourish in her new role, congratulations and well done to Andrea! Keep an eye out over the weekend to hear more news from Little Gate.Claire Cordell and Andrea Randall-Smith
